Project Details

I. Project Proposal

Our project proposal was signed by the Executive Director of Girls Lobby, Michaela Bevan on October 12, 2020.

II. Registration Form (under the direction of Erin D)

Our first deliverable will be creating a registration form for the 2021 Program based off of guidelines from Girls Lobby’s previous years and the types of information they want to collect. We will work closely with Impact Director, Britt Watts, on this project.

III. Teacher Correspondence (under the direction of Erin C)

Because Girls Lobby representatives cannot go into classrooms this year, we will help reach out to teachers across Utah to encourage participation in the Zoom Q&As and the program.

IV. Promotional Handouts (under the direction of Pauline)

As the head of creating promotional handouts, I created two designs that were used to advertise what Girls Lobby stands for. With Dr. Cammack's direction, I was able to solidify the designs. One was used to encourage women eligible to vote in this years election, to vote and make their voice count. The second design was to use as a quick informational flyer to give to teachers across various school districts in Utah. The goal was for teacher's to pass that information to their students.

V. Refer-a-friend program (under the direction of  Jessica)

Girls Lobby will be especially reliant on social media this year due to the pandemic. We will work closely with the Communications Director, Brooke Lund, to help coordinate the content and schedule of giveaways and promotions, including helping plan the logistics.

VI. Social Media Help & Giveaways (under the direction of Jessica)

See above.

VII. Prepare Zoom Q&A

Girls Lobby will be doing a Zoom Q&A in lieu of traditional recruiting methods. We will lead the preparation, execution, and follow up of these live Q&As including registration, question/topic prep, and technical needs.

VIII. Execute Zoom Q&A

See above.

IX. Edit Zoom Q&A recordings

After the Zoom Q&As, we want to make the recordings accessible for those who could not be in attendance. Our group will lead the editing efforts.

Disclaimer

Many of these projects are still on-going. Although the 20 hour requirement has been met, we are still working on Social Media outreach and the Zoom Q&A.
